V. Lynn Cox, MA, CMC
Eldercare Management & Consulting
Professional Geriatric Care Manager, Certified
M.A. Counseling Psychology, Notre Dame de Namur University
B.S. General Studies/Psychology Emphasis, Louisiana State University
Lynn brings over 20 years rehabilitation services management, case management and counseling expertise from her career as rehabilitation consultant and certified geriatric care manager to the practice of Eldercare Management & Consulting.
As entrepreneur, Lynn founded and directed her own rehabilitation counseling and consulting firm, Cox & Associates where for ten years she successfully orchestrated the teamwork of rehabilitation nurses, physicians, physical therapists, ergonomic evaluators, worker’s compensation attorneys, rehabilitation counselors, work capacity evaluators and insurance claims adjustors to facilitate returning the industrially injured to work. On many occasions during court hearings Lynn provided expert testimony regarding disability management and rehabilitation issues of the injured worker and she is certified as an expert in Federal Court, Sacramento.
After experiencing the lengthy decline of a close family member due to Alzheimer’s disease, Lynn developed a passion to serve the older adult population. Her wide range of experience working with older adults and their families in meeting their short term and long term care arrangements through personalized care planning and dedication to serving the older adult led her to launch EMPower Eldercare Management. Lynn then joined a local California Licensed Home Care Organization as Director Napa Division and served in that role for six years. In 2017 Lynn returns to Professional Geriatric Care Management practice with V. Lynn Cox Eldercare Management & Consulting.
Lynn serves as an advocate for Sonoma County and Napa County older adults and their families. Her mission is to help families make the best decisions from an immediate crisis to advance planning and to facilitate the navigation for the appropriate local area resources.
As community volunteer Lynn currently serves as President of Wishes for Seniors of Sonoma Valley.
